About

Based on customer demand, Whittaker Guns began carrying archery equipment in 2015. Several of our existing customers were archery enthusiasts and supported the new venture. We quickly realized we needed more growth to satisfy our archery clientele. In late 2015, we purchased Sportsman’s Headquarters. Tracy Heath, the owner of Sportsman’s Headquarters, agreed to sell his business and move to Whittaker Guns to manage the archery department. We already had an excellent archery technician, Brad Mills, but Tracy’s experience allowed us to better serve our growing customer base.

Tracy and Brad made a great team from the get go and the business continued to grow based on their level of service. In 2018, we decided to move the archery division from Whittaker Guns to a standalone business. Cedarstix Archery, Outdoors & Taxidermy LLC was created and is now the largest archery shop in the state of Kentucky! The shop is still located in the back of Whittaker Guns, but is now a totally separate business entity. Whether you’re an archery hunter, a competitive shooter or just a hobbyist, Cedarstix Archery, Outdoors & Taxidermy can fully outfit your needs.
